Maclume

Privacy Policy

Effective 10 October 2026

In short: Maclume does not collect, store or share any personal data. Everything it does happens on your Mac. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.

What Maclume reads

Maclume scans only the folders and disks you choose. It reads file names, sizes, types and dates so it can show you what takes up space. To find duplicates it reads file contents and calculates checksums on your Mac. None of this leaves your computer.

What Maclume stores

Maclume saves a few things inside its own sandboxed app folder on your Mac: the results of your last scan, your settings and excluded folders, access permissions for the folders you selected, and a list of items you moved to the Trash so you can put them back. Removing Maclume from your Mac removes this data too.

Network

Maclume does not connect to any server run by us. The app has no network features of its own.

Purchases

Maclume Pro is a one-time in-app purchase handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details, Apple ID or name. The app only checks with Apple, on your Mac, whether Pro is unlocked.

Children

Maclume collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
